At Wright Parkway Dental Center, we always want you to look and feel your best – this includes having that flawless smile you’ve always wanted! Whether that means getting a full set of veneers, or just fixing an old implant, our restorative dentistry services provide a plethora of options to restore missing or damaged teeth to their fully functional and aesthetically pleasing form. Below you’ll find a few of our restorative dental expertise:
Dental Implant Restoration
Dr. Welch and her team are experts in dental implant restoration. After the tooth has been removed, the new artificial root has been placed in your mouth and adheres to the bone and gum tissue. From there, our team performs the dental implant restoration. What this means is we will craft a beautiful crown that will enhance your appearance, improve function, and last for ages. While dental implants are typically very effective and last indefinitely, sometimes there are issues that need to be addressed. If your implant has become loose, or you’ve noticed the crown is cracked, we can effectively repair the crown as well.
Crowns
A crown, simply put, is an artificial covering of your tooth. If you experience a cavity that requires extensive removal of tooth decay, have just had a root canal, or are experiencing pain from a cracked or chipped tooth, you may be a candidate for a crown. The crown is crafted from non-toxic materials like porcelain or ceramic that are bonded to your tooth with permanent adhesives to create an additional layer of protection, to allow for strong function.
Veneers
Veneers, while similar to a crown in nature, are typically selected for a more cosmetic restoration than functional. A veneer is a layer of porcelain or ceramic material that is added to the front side of the tooth or all teeth to perfect your smile permanently. You may be a candidate for veneers if you’re having difficulty whitening your teeth or if you don’t like the shape or spacing of your current teeth and want a new look. We’ll do a test with temporary veneers first to make sure you love your new smile! One should always wear a night “guard”, to protect veneers.
Bridges
A dental bridge is the perfect solution for those missing only select teeth that do not want or need partial dentures, or are not a candidate for an dental implant. It’s both a functional and cosmetic fix that replaces a tooth where needed to restore your smile and function. There are different types of dental bridge options, but the most traditional utilizes crowns on the surrounding teeth that the dental pontic or missing tooth can then be connected. But, Dr. Welch and her skilled team of dental professionals will be there to walk you through all of your dental bridge options to ensure you select the right choice for you.
